As you may recall, Megyn and Doug recently transformed into our very own Cagney and Lacey to track down who – out of a possible seven suspects – left the mud room gate *AND* pantry door open before going to bed leading to the destruction of two large boxes of Cheerios, two full loaves of bread, a previously unopened bag of kettle potato chips, a bag of tortilla chips, and a bag of pink Himalayan popcorn.
You can get caught up on the crime drama here, which you may want to do before proceeding to the rest of this story for more context.
Megyn’s daughter Yardley was implicated in the incident and very apologetic about it. Perhaps to stave off any future interrogations, she was quick to alert her parents this week that our four-legged friend had one again raided the pantry.
Here is the text Megyn and Doug received:

Strudwick went to town on a loaf of bread, which certainly is not conducive to the diet he has been on for the last few months. In July, he ate an entire package of hot dog buns that had been purchased for a BBQ. The 16 rolls amounts to more than 2,200 calories. While it is unclear the exact caloric damage of this starchy snack, it is safe to say Strud is back to his carb-loading (and loving!) ways.
