While Strudwick might have pleasantly surprised when he chowed down on healthy – and sanctioned! – apple last week, we don’t need to tell you that he sniffs out far more snacks than he should. It likely comes as no surprise then that the vet has recommended Strud slim down a bit.
The apple was obviously a step in the right direction, and Megyn said Strudwick was generally doing well on his new meal plan. He is down 10 pounds so far (this incident no doubt helped with that) and was well on his way to his ideal weight.
That is until it came time for a cookout last weekend.

“So, Strud’s diet took a dark turn,” Megyn shared. “He ate an entire package of hot dog buns. We had purchased two for a BBQ. He ate one. 16 rolls. 2,200+ calories.”
Yes, that means Strud consumed 2,240 calories of hot dog buns in a single sitting. If we are looking at it from his perspective, perhaps he was simply carb loading before his next walk. After all, we know how much he loves his protein powder!
