In what is now becoming an annual tradition for The Strudwick File, we are here to show you how Megyn has adapted her fall decorations to accommodate the naughty habits of our old pal Strudwick.
Our coverage began back in 2023 after Strud decided to snack on some of the seasonal adornments in Megyn’s front yard. He left the mums and pumpkins alone and instead went to town on the decorative cabbage and dried corn (you can revisit those incidents here, here, and here).

In 2024, Megyn decided to try a scaled down version of the autumnal display in an effort to prevent the damage, but her efforts were futile. After Strud went to town snacking on all the small- to medium-sized gourds dotting the yard, Megyn further went back to basics with a simpler – and less scrumptious – display of corn-less corn stalks and mums. Here’s the before and after:

She did, however, decide to leave the massive pumpkins on her front porch because Strudwick had initially steered clear of them… emphasis on the word ‘initially.’ With less options to choose from, he eventually got around to sampling those as well (check out the damage here).
And that brings us to 2025. With all of Stud’s priors in mind, Megyn opted to strip things down even further.

“No corn. No cabbage. No gourds. No pumpkins. No squash,” she shared along with pics of this year’s decor. “Just empty corn stalks and mums. Your move, Strudwick.”

We have to say, the simpler display is still perfectly festive and, so far, it seems to be doing the trick of not tempting our ever-ravenous four-legged friend. Several weeks into the decorating experiment, we cautiously but optimistically say: Mission accomplished, Megyn!
