Relative of Accused Charlie Kirk Assassin’s Boyfriend Disputes Claims He Cooperated with Authorities

A family member of Lance Twiggs, the alleged ‘transgender’ furry boyfriend of accused Charlie Kirk killer Tyler Robinson, is speaking out for the first time about the assassination and his role in it.

The Background

As reported on Friday’s AM Update, Robinson and 22-year-old Twiggs shared an apartment in Utah prior to the murder. In September, authorities indicated Twiggs was cooperating with the investigation.

At the time, Utah County District Attorney Jeffrey Gray publicly disclosed what he says are text messages between the two from the hours after the shooting in which Robinson confessed to the killing.

After Robinson wrote to Twiggs that he had taken the opportunity to take Kirk out, Twiggs responded, “What?????????????? You’re joking, right????” Robinson replied, “I am still ok my love, but am stuck in [O]rem for a little while longer yet.”

“You weren’t the one who did it, right,” Twiggs asked.

“I am, I’m sorry,” Robinson allegedly responded.

In the following weeks, multiple outlets reported Twiggs’ location was unknown.

Twiggs Family Speaks

Now, a female family member appearing in silhouette with NewsNation’s Brian Entin is shedding light on Twiggs’ whereabouts.

“For the first few weeks – because there were so many threats against his family and him – my understanding is they did have a little bit of FBI detail, and they kind of moved around a little bit,” she said. “But they’re not anymore. He’s with his family.”

Twiggs’ relative also disputed accounts of his cooperation, saying he did not come forward on his own. When the Entin asked if she thinks Twiggs will still cooperate with the investigation, the woman wasn’t sure.

“You know, I don’t know. When I first found out about how he was taken in and talked to by the police, I know that they said that he was very cooperative but they had to go get him and bring him in,” she said. “He didn’t voluntarily go in and say, ‘Hey, I heard about this and I have some knowledge.'”

“You know, he had to go in and then he handed things over when they asked for them,” she added. “But he didn’t give up any information until he had to.”

The relative described Twiggs and Robinson as, “so smart” with “so much potential,” noting Twiggs is a gifted concert pianist. She said the two went down a dark path in the online world. “Being as antisocial as they were, from my understanding – you know, playing these games and being part of this, this Discord group – they didn’t seem like they were in a real world,” the woman told Entin.

With that said, the relative is sure Robinson was the assassin. “100 percent they have the right guy,” she said.

Robinson is facing seven felony charges, including aggravated murder and felony use of a firearm. He is in a Utah prison pending trial and could face the death penalty. He is due in court Friday as his legal team seeks to disqualify prosecutors in the case over an alleged conflict of interest.
