Today, as you probably know, marks one year since the conservative movement, America, and the world lost Charlie Kirk. Whenever you hit a moment like this-a one-year marker in time, a five-year, what have you-you can’t help but start thinking, What if we could go back and have a do-over? What if we could just reach Charlie right now and say, ‘Don’t go to Utah Valley University. It’s not safe for you today. Do something else.’ Of course, that is not the way life works.
President Trump paid homage to Charlie last night during his keynote address at the GOP’s midterm convention in Dallas, and I was grateful that he did. I think too many people on the left–the rabid ones–are celebrating this “Kirkaversary” in the most vile of ways, but I know the vast majority of people out there are feeling and loving and kind and mourning.
Charlie’s death, while incredibly tragic for us all, has unleashed a torrent of goodness at just the right time because evil is alive in the world today. We have seen it in the revival in churches across denominations. Christianity has seen a spike in interest and adherence that we haven’t seen in decades, thanks to Charlie’s message being circulated and people grappling with the loss of such a hero.

As I said in the clip, it is up to all of us to continue Charlie’s legacy of spreading the good word, to say the things no matter how many people object to them, arguing our points respectfully and lovingly, but forcefully and unapologetically.
