It is almost Halloween season. I was just saying to my kids that this time next month we will be putting out the Halloween displays. As always, Hollywood is out with a Halloween-themed movie. This year, it is the revival of Practical Magic, the 1998 film starring Sandra Bullock and Nicole Kidman.
Bullock and Kidman have been making the rounds to promote their second act together in Practical Magic 2. They sat down with Hoda Kotb for an interview that ran on the Today Show and Hoda’s Making Space podcast. In the portion that aired on the NBC morning show, Bullock spoke about her struggles as a parent.
Sandra Bullock has had her fair share of tragedy. Her longtime partner died after a private battle with ALS. She has two adopted children, and you will glean their race from her comments.
“I mean, you know, we’re different,” Bullock said while tapping her skin. “I’m uber paranoid, and they will tell you… They’re like, ‘Mom, it’s gonna be fine.’ I’m like, ‘It’s not fine. It’s not fine outside.’ The energy that is floating around our country and our world again.”
“The color of their skin… they’re my babies, they’re my life, but no one knows that when they leave my house,” she continued. “So, that is always in the forefront of my mind. I’m now learning to trust them. Where they are now is extraordinary.”
Her children, Louis, 16, whom she adopted in 2010, and daughter Laila, 13, whom she adopted through the foster care system in 2015, are both black.
She wants you to believe, just like LeBron James said post-George Floyd, that black men are being “hunted” in the streets of America. She is a low information voter, obviously, who has bought the lies about police. Those lies have besmirched them, defamed them, and gotten thousands of black Americans killed because the fake narratives about law enforcement have caused the police to pull back, especially in underserved communities.
Minorities–low-income minorities, in particular–wind up dying because crime is unleashed on them by, effectively, woke white liberals like Sandra Bullock who push false narratives that make her feel better about herself. She is going to score points with Hoda, but she doesn’t give a shit what happens to the people in Harlem or downtown Chicago.
Trust me when I tell you, her children are not in danger. She owns multimillion dollar homes in New York City and New Orleans, Louisiana. I am sure there could be others, but New Orleans and New York are heavily black. There is a much higher population of black people and people of color in general in both of those places. So, why is she pretending like she lives in the Jim Crow South? These are fantasies of hers and have no basis in reality. Shame on her.
