The Strudwick File: Tea Time

Megyn, Doug, and the kids were among the millions who tuned in to watch all the action in game three of the NBA Finals on Monday. But unlike those millions, Megyn, Doug, and the kids also had plenty of action to keep them entertained at home courtesy of – you guessed it! – Strudwick.

We’ll let Megyn tell you what happened:

“We were all settled in as a family watching the Knicks-Spurs game 3 when I made some tea. Strud and Thunder got into a running fit, and while Thunder knew clearly that we don’t jump on the people on the sofas during our fun game, her brother did NOT abide by the same rules.

Before we knew it, my scalding tea was all over poor Doug and the coffee table.

It was so funny I couldn’t stop laughing, but through the laughs I said ‘I’m sorry!’ because it was my tea on poor Doug. He said to our kids ‘Doesn’t she look sorry?’ as I struggled to regain my composure – but I couldn’t.

I did not look sorry, but I did laugh harder when, after a pause, I heard him say, ‘Now it’s cold.'”

Epilogue

In case you were wondering where Strud was amid the spill and laughing fit, we’re here to report that he kept his distance for a short while before returning the spot on the couch next to Doug (who had since found new pants) that he obviously believed was rightfully his:

Would you expect anything less?
