Another week, another salacious affair. Unlike the Dianna Russini-Make Vrabel relationship that seemed to get worse with each passing revelation, the wild lawsuit against JPMorgan and a female executive has taken an interesting turn as new details emerge.
Earlier this week, a former male employee filed a bombshell lawsuit under the pseudonym John Doe accusing 37-year-old executive director Lorna Hajdini of turning him into her “sex slave” by drugging him with Rohypnol and Viagra and threatening to ruin his career and cut his bonus if he did not comply.
But the latest info emerging about the accuser and accused puts the stunning allegations in a very different light.
The Original Lawsuit
The story of the lawsuit was first broken by The Daily Mail Wednesday, and the report outlined the shocking claims made by John Doe against his employer and the woman he portrayed as his boss.
The Mail, citing court papers that have since been retracted, reported that Hajdini, an executive director on JPMorgan’s leveraged finance team, forced herself on her alleged subordinate – turning up unannounced at his apartment and making him to have sex with her.
The married man claimed the alleged coercion began shortly after he joined the leveraged finance team in the spring of 2024. He said he tried to rebuff her advances and even ended up in tears during one encounter. Megyn ran through some of the other outrageous claims with Adam Carolla on Thursday. You can watch it below:
The New Developments
But now there are some major questions about the merits of the lawsuit after The New York Post exclusively revealed the identity of the plaintiff in the case. Sources identified the accuser as 35-year-old Chirayu Rana, and he is now being accused of making fabricated sexual harassment claims against Hajdini, who was not, in fact, his boss but rather a peer who reported to a different managing director.
People familiar with the situation told The Post that Hajdini, who is still working at JPMorgan, is viewed internally as “a top performer,” while Rana was someone who “met the requirements” to remain at the bank but was “socially awkward.”
Rana has since moved on to working for Bregal Sagemount, after what The Post described a “journeyman career in finance has included stints at Houlihan Lokey, Credit Suisse, TCG Capital Markets, Morgan Stanley, and the Carlyle Group before he joined JPMorgan.”
JPMorgan has strongly denied Rana’s claims of retaliation and failing to investigate properly, while Hajdini hit back in a statement to The Post via her lawyers: “Lorna categorically denies the allegations. She never engaged in any inappropriate conduct with this individual of any kind and has never even been to the location where the alleged sexual assault supposedly took place.”
The lawsuit, meanwhile, has been temporarily withdrawn for “corrections” but will apparently be refiled in the near future.
