House Dems Release New Photos of Donald Trump and Jeffrey Epstein… But What Does It Really Show?

Another week, another tranche of photos from the estate disgraced financier and convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein released by Democrats on the House Oversight Committee.

The images include many of the powerbrokers who were known to be in Epstein’s orbit, including President Donald Trump, former President Bill Clinton, Steve Bannon, Bill Gates, Richard Branson, and more.

On Friday’s show, Megyn was joined by Dave Smith, host of Part of the Problem, to talk about the latest batch of photos and what comes next in the Epstein Files saga.

The New Photos

Earlier this month, House Dems released photos and videos that offered a rare look at Epstein’s private island in the Caribbean and his twisted world. The imagery showed rooms from the estate and other areas of his property, but did not include any people.

This latest dump, however, is filled with famous faces. “We’re getting dribs and drabs of this, and… there are some that show Donald Trump, Bill Clinton, Steve Bannon, Bill Gates, and others,” Megyn said.

According to CNN, none of the newly released images depict any sexual misconduct and none are believed to show underage girls. The outlet noted that it was not immediately clear when or where the pictures were taken or by whom.

One photo shows what appears to be a bowl of novelty condoms that feature a caricature of Trump’s face above the words “I’m HUUUUGE!” The bowl has a sign that reads “Trump Condom” and they are priced at $4.50. “I have no idea what the context of this is. This is being dropped out of, I guess, Trump trumping condoms, so it’s interesting to the Dems,” Megyn said.

A black-and-white photo shows a younger Trump with six women whose faces have been redacted by the committee wearing Hawaiian leis. “Okay, no one is shocked to see Donald Trump with attractive young women,” Megyn noted. “It’s kind of been something he has done his whole life.”

Another has Bannon and Epstein taking a selfie together in a mirror. “This, too, is not a surprise. Steve Bannon and Jeffrey Epstein were a lot closer than we knew,” Megyn explained. “This show disclosed that weeks ago when we talked about the tapes we had heard in which Epstein was being coached by Kathryn Ruemmler, the former Obama White House counsel, and Steve Bannon on how to handle his growing reputational legal problems post-the Miami Herald exposé of him in 2018.”

There is a picture of Bill Clinton with Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell and another couple that appears to be signed by the former president.

Additional photos feature Hollywood filmmaker Woody Allen, former Harvard President Larry Summers, attorney Alan Dershowitz, and Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor (formerly known as Prince Andrew), and there are also a few that show different sex toys.

The 19 images released (you can view all of them here) are apparently part of tens of thousands of new photos obtained by Democrat lawmakers. “BREAKING: Oversight Dems received 95,000 new photos from Jeffrey Epstein’s estate. These disturbing images raise even more questions about Epstein and his relationships with some of the most powerful men in the world,” the Oversight Dems account posted on X. “Time to end this White House cover-up. Release the files!”

The Relevance

With the signing of the Epstein Files Transparency Act last month, the Department of Justice has until next Friday to release all Epstein-related records, documents, communications, and investigative materials in its possession – with the exception of classified information, child sex abuse material, information identifying victims, and anything tied to an ongoing investigation.

Megyn said the law “has enough exceptions in it to drive a U-Haul truck through,” which has many wondering what, if anything, will ultimately come of the order. Smith believes the Trump DOJ created this problem with the way it has handled the Epstein case dating back to the infamous binders Attorney General Pam Bondi gave conservative influencers at the White House in February.

“This Justice Department lost all credibility over the Epstein thing, and there is just no way to undo that,” Smith said. “Between Pam Bondi having that stunt where she gave all these right-wing influencers the Epstein Files, saying they’re sitting on her desk, turning around and then trying to tell you it was a Democratic hoax and it never existed; then [Speaker of the House] Mike Johnson saying it’s a threat to our entire political order if we release the files; then Trump turning around and releasing the files that he just said didn’t exist and were a Democratic hoax… there is no more trust in institutions.”

While he said the distrust was “earned,” he admitted “there are bad aspects to that.” There are also bad aspects, Smith said, to the fact that it feels like this is yet another case where justice isn’t served. He likened it to the new reporting about COVID vaccines deaths among children being covered up; and DNI Tulsi Gabbard’s latest Russiagate findings largely going uncovered; and the indictment against former FBI Director James Comey being dismissed.

“The story about Moderna covering up that Alex Berenson broke… No one is going to be held responsible… Several months back, the Director of National Intelligence… accused the former President Barack Obama of committing treason. Says she has the proof and was sending it over to the Justice Department. When is that indictment coming? We all know it’s not happening. We all know no one is getting held responsible for Russiagate… Even the Comey case, which they totally seem to have mishandled, he is not going to face any justice over all the crimes he committed,” Smith explained. “[There is a] similar thing in the Jeffrey Epstein thing, very similar thing, which just kind of seems to go unnoticed.”

So while he admitted that the pictures don’t “really reveal anything that we didn’t kind of already know,” they only further undermine the institutions and elite that have already lost so much credibility with the public. “This, I think, really is something central to the state of where the United States of America is today,” Smith said. “There is no more trust in institutions.”
