Piers Morgan dropped his much anticipated interview with Nick Fuentes on Monday. It was, as expected, filled with plenty of fiery and now-viral moments between the two.
You can watch some of the most controversial exchanges in the video below. In one, Morgan called Fuentes a “misogynistic old dinosaur” after he confirmed he doesn’t think women should have the right to vote and said they “are very difficult to be around.”
In another, Fuentes answered “yes” when Morgan asked him if he thinks Adolf Hitler “was very fucking cool.” He also told the Piers Morgan Uncensored host that he stands by the claims he has made on his own show that “we would live in paradise” if not for the fact that “Jews are running society,” “women need to shut the fuck up,” and “blacks need to be imprisoned for the most part.”
Unlike the criticism of Tucker Carlson’s sit-down with Fuentes, Morgan is not being accused of letting the 27 year old off the hook and the grilling has already racked up over 2.5 million views in 24 hours. On Tuesday’s show, Megyn discussed the interview with Stu Burguiere and explained why she personally has no desire to talk to Fuentes.
Megyn’s Take
Below is Megyn’s take, edited for length and clarity:
“I love Piers. He does a lot of controversial interviews. It is kind of part of his brand. But for me, personally, I see absolutely no redeeming value in doing this. I don’t think this is worth doing. I think if you don’t like Nick Fuentes, you should ignore Nick Fuentes.
This is not a criticism of Piers. It is a criticism of the people who have been saying Tucker needed to do his interview with Nick Fuentes a certain way to show people that side of him. If you spend 20 seconds Googling his name, you will see all of those views. They will be the first thing that come up…
I know Jews feel targeted by Nick Fuentes. Not for nothing, but women are just as targeted in his rants and so are blacks. This is America. People are allowed to say terrible things about us…
People think he has been ‘mainstreamed.’ I don’t believe that is the case. I think Tucker took a look to see why he was growing in popularity, but there is a question about his popularity. I saw an interesting report on X suggesting his support has been somewhat overstated and that he has been pumped up by people who want to undermine the United States, like there are foreign actors making him seem more important than he really is. That makes perfect sense to me…
This is why I have never asked Nick Fuentes for an interview, and I have no desire to interview him. I can cross-examine with the best of them. If I want to do a contentious interview, I know how. This just seems pointless to me.
To me, you want to cross-examine reasonable people who are taking an outrageous position on something; someone who is gettable; someone who you might actually find fundamentally decent, but who has gone off the deep end on something. That is somebody I would talk to. I don’t really want to talk to crazy and I don’t really want to talk to ‘I’m just subversive and looking for attention.’ It’s not that interesting to me.
It is how I feel about conspiracy theories, too. If you want to take on someone’s favorite conspiracy theory, you could devote your entire show every day to debunking the latest iteration of it. Who wants to spend their time like that?
It is utterly pointless, by the way, because you can’t talk people who believe conspiracy theories out of their beliefs. The truly conspiratorial thinkers do not respond to hard facts that disprove their theories. They just a way around them or a new way to justify them. Truly, you would be better banging your head against your desk.
So, why do it? Why not spend your time delivering what you know is real news that actually might effect people’s lives and let those chips on the other things fall where they may?”
