Megyn Says the Left Is ‘Banking on More Complicity’ with New Claims About Joe Biden’s Cancer Diagnosis

After the office of former President Joe Biden put out a shock statement Sunday saying the 82 year old had been diagnosed with stage 4 prostate cancer days earlier, medical experts from all sides of the political spectrum cast doubt on the timeline of events.

The Biden team said the advanced cancer, which has spread to the bone, was discovered last Friday after a nodule was found on his prostate. Since most prostate cancers are found at a much earlier stage, that led to questions about if and how the former president was being screened. And now the Biden office is out with a new statement that offers little clarity.

On Wednesday’s show, Megyn was joined by Victor Davis Hanson, author of The End of Everything, to discuss the latest update and why the public has a right to be skeptical.

The Latest Statement

An unnamed spokesperson for the Bidens released a statement late Tuesday with new information about the former president’s health records. “President Biden’s last known PSA was in 2014,” the statement read. “Prior to Friday, President Biden had never been diagnosed with prostate cancer.”

That means Biden would have been in his early seventies and serving as vice president at the time of his last prostate-specific antigen (PSA) test. The blood test measures the level of protein produced by the prostate and elevated levels can indicate potential disease.

Biden is said to have “an aggressive form of prostate cancer, characterized by a Gleason score of 9 (Grade Group 5) with metastasis to the bone.” Doctors and prostate cancer experts – including Obamacare “architect” Ezekiel Emanuel, MD – have said it takes five to seven years for this kind of cancer to metastasize. During that time, PSA levels would have increased and Biden may have experienced symptoms like urinary incontinence or bleeding.

While the U.S. Preventive Services Task Force does not recommend PSA tests for men over 70 because they are more likely to die of causes other than prostate cancer, those standards would not necessarily apply to a sitting president or vice president of the United States.

On Monday’s Megyn Kelly Show, renowned urologist and prostate cancer surgeon David Samadi, MD, shed light on the expected standard of care. “I have had multiple presidents in my practice that I have taken care of, and it’s not always one doctor. There are multiple doctors. They go through very aggressive screening – PSA, digital rectal exams,” he shared. “Yes, if you are in third-world countries where there are no PSA screenings… that is a different story. But in America, with our healthcare system, given his position, it is practically almost impossible to see someone show up with stage 4, Gleason 9 metastases to bone within a year.”

Dr. Samadi’s reference to “a year” referred to the last time Biden was publicly given a clean bill of health by White House physician Kevin O’Connor. Now, his office seems to be implying that report would not have included PSA results because Biden hasn’t been tested in over a decade.

Seeking Accountability

In Hanson’s view, simply claiming Biden’s last PSA test was in 2014 is not helpful. “I am 71 and I can tell you that… if you want a PSA test, they will give you a PSA test,” he said. “And if he has one in 2014, we need to know the results. Was it negative? Was a positive? Was it high? Was it low?”

Megyn agreed. “They say he last had a PSA test in 2014, but they don’t say what the results were. They do say this was the first time he was diagnosed with prostate cancer, which doesn’t mean he didn’t have a sky-high PSA in 2014 that he just chose to treat quietly,” she noted. “There are pictures of bruises on his hands throughout his presidency. There had been speculation at the time about was he getting some sort of IV treatment when he was going home to the Rehoboth Beach house all those weekends. All of those questions are unanswered.”

Hanson believes Biden’s medical team needs to answer for this. “[Congress needs] to get Dr. O’Connor… put him under oath and say, ‘In the last 11 years… but especially when you were the White House physician, did you give either a PSA that was officially recorded or did you do a PSA that was privately recorded for your own diagnostic purposes,'” he said. “I don’t think any doctor in the world would believe that the president of the United States had not had a PSA. And when you look at [Barack] Obama’s medical records, you look at Donald Trump’s medical records, it has their PSA.”

More of the Same?

All of this dovetails with the questions of transparency that are being raised in the wake of Jake Tapper and Alex Thompson’s explosive book Original Sin about Biden’s physical and cognitive decline. Their reporting makes it clear that there was a concerted effort by those closest to the former president to conceal his infirmities.

The cancer reveal and its timing (two days after the audio of Biden’s infamous interview with Special Counsel Robert Hur was leaked and two days before the release of Tapper and Thompson’s exposé) has only further raised eyebrows about who knew what and when.

“Who knew about it? Are they trying to say that no one that was with him every single day had no knowledge that he was [sick], or going somewhere for treatment, or somebody was coming in,” Hanson asked. “I just don’t believe. That is impossible to believe… And so this is the scandal.”

Hanson does not, however, expect the Bidens or anyone around them to tell the truth. Instead, they are trying to brush off the cognitive decline cover-up and now this diagnosis as water under the bridge because he is no longer president. “[The left is saying], ‘We’re looking forward. We don’t look backward. We’re all done now. We can go back to performance art Tesla rioting, we can go swarm ICE stations… and just concentrate on Donald Trump, the Hitlerian figure. There’s nothing here. Forget about it,'” Hanson noted.

All the while, he believes the American people aren’t buying it. “What do they think when they hear this concocted explanation,” he asked. “They know that it is completely illogical, impossible, fantastical. It doesn’t make any sense.”

And yet, the Biden team appears to be looking to pull another fast one because, in Megyn’s view, they believe they can get away with it. “They’re just banking,” she concluded, “on more complicity.”
