We were putting the finishing touches on our questions and wondering whether Donald Trump would show up after he threatened not to. We had the lectern ready up until the last moments.
Seven years later, they’re in a similar situation. This time, in Milwaukee, WI. It’s clear Trump is not going to show. I remember how desperately we all wanted him to come – we knew it would be must-see TV with him there and more like a side show without him.
