The Strudwick File: The Package Protection Program, Part II

If you are a regular reader of The Strudwick File, you know Strud tends to destroy anything in his path (lunchesbooksinvisible fence batteriesfire wood, etc.). That includes packages on the front porch, which is why Megyn and Doug came up with what they hoped would be a solid solution to save their deliveries this summer:

What’s that they say about the best laid plans? Apparently the sign is not clear enough because Megyn came outside recently to find Strud had intercepted the packages containing her new mascara and a book for her daughter Yardley. You can see some of the damage below:

It should be noted that the book was salvageable, but the mascara remains unaccounted for. “Did he eat the mascara,” Megyn pondered. “Remember that he ate a box of pink highlighters once, so it’s very possible he ate it.”

As though discovering the carnage isn’t bad enough, Megyn said some delivery services are flagrantly flouting the drop-off instructions. Amazon, she noted, “proudly displays their decision to ignore the sign” with proof-of-delivery photos… on the porch:

At the end of the day, Megyn has but one question: “What is confusing about our sign???”
