Kennedy Nepo Baby Jack Schlossberg’s Fails in NY Congressional Bid and ‘The New York Times’ Is Really Upset

Putting aside the trio of Mamdani-backed far-leftists who won, there was some good news, as I see it, coming out of the electoral results in New York City Tuesday night. Namely, the vile, bizarre, and, I think, mentally unwell Jack Schlossberg lost his bid to represent the Democrat Party in the race for New York’s 12th Congressional District.

Schlossberg will not be continuing the Camelot legacy, as I heard some discussing it today. The voters in his Manhattan district, which includes the Upper East Side, Upper West Side, and Midtown, saw right through his slick act.

He refused to campaign. He had a sense of entitlement. He has never accomplished anything. I mean, he has literally never accomplished anything other than attending prestigious universities, which, being a Kennedy, will happen every time. And to their credit, Manhattanites said no, we’re not falling for this again. We are not in the mood.

But not everyone is handling the defeat well. The New York Times headline from Tuesday night read: “Schlossberg’s Defeat Dampens Dream of a Renewed Camelot.” And here are a few highlights from the blubbering piece by reporters Jesse McKinley and Tim Balk:

“For a first-time candidate, Mr. Schlossberg seemingly had it all: a scion of the Kennedy family, once America’s most famous political brand. Young and handsome, much like his grandfather, the progenitor of Camelot.

He was well connected, earning endorsements from Democratic royalty like the former House speaker Nancy Pelosi, and old-money rich, able to pour his own fortune into a campaign he said was, in part, about the evils of money in politics.

And in an age in which Democrats have often played catch-up with Republicans online, Mr. Schlossberg had a vibrant social media presence, presenting an oddball and decidedly opinionated persona that drew attention whenever he posted.”

This is a guy who was posting about, forgive me, “jizz cocktails.” There was nothing “vibrant” and just a little “oddball” about it. The Times went on:

“When early polls showed him in front of a crowded field of candidates in New York City’s 12th Congressional District, it seemed the race was Mr. Schlossberg’s to lose.

As it turned out, he lost it…

Mr. Schlossberg’s defeat also comes as the Kennedy family has also grappled with the defection of Robert F. Kennedy Jr., Mr. Schlossberg’s cousin, to a Republican administration, where he serves as the health secretary under President Trump.”

Even People magazine’s article wasn’t as ridiculous as this New York Times one. The People headline was “Jack Schlossberg Loses His First Election in Heated Manhattan Congressional Primary.”

Yet The Times claimed “the defeat dampens dream of a renewed Camelot.” This guy was never going to be delivering a renewed Camelot. As my guest Mark Halperin said, he is a “cuckoo Kennedy” and “there is nothing Kennedy-esque about his appeal.”
