How are you feeling today? Like shit? Yeah, I can relate. Last night was a total and complete disaster. I realize these were blue states, but I don’t care. The margins were so large, and Republicans lost across the board – everywhere, in every race.
The only good news is how radical the Democrats are and how Zohran Mamdani will now be the poster child for every Republican to use against his or her opponent. All Democrats will have to explain where they stand on Mamdani as he wrecks New York.
But the Republican Party needs to get it together ASAP.
What Went Wrong
I’m really glad we spent the past couple of weeks – as Sean Davis of The Federalist put it – policing some young peolple’s group chat, what a podcast host said, and what the head of a think tank over the Heritage Foundation had to say. I’m really glad that the Republicans devoted so much time to that. That was a terrific move. Way to stick together to really shine a light on what matters.
The Republicans like to lose. They enjoy when they are embattled, and in a losing position, and complaining. They love it. They do it really well. They are less good at winning, especially when Donald Trump is not on the ballot. The Republican Party is not strong. Donald Trump is strong. Republicans don’t know how to win. They don’t know who to run. They don’t know what to do when daddy’s not there to fly them across the finish line.
Meanwhile, Trump is all over the Middle East, while people’s grocery bills are still high; they are still dealing with inflation; they are suffering. Like, that’s it. Focus on domestic policy and on making people’s lives better.
New York City
That is my top line takeaway – that and the matter of an immigrant invasion that has now given us a radical Muslim running the greatest city in the world into the ground. That is where it is going. God help New Yorkers. Thank God we got out.
Mamdani dropped the mask immediately with the hate he spewed after he won. He is so radical, and he does not seem to be headed down the path of moderation based on what we saw last night. In fact, he went directly from the super smiley social media guy who used to be a rapper and was going to be a ‘mayor for everybody’ to all but rubbing his hands together looking at his new power and what he is going to do to the city of New York. I shudder to think of what he is going to do.
In his acceptance speech, he thanked every foreign nation known to man. That is who he sees as his constituency. Meanwhile, he is up there talking about how this win is for the guys who’ve got the scars on their knuckles and the calluses on their hands.
They voted against you, you cretin.
The working class can’t stand you. They are not buying your bullshit because the working class never buys bullshit. They can’t afford to. They actually have to struggle to put food on their tables and worry about their kids going to a school that is safe and one that doesn’t have 45 different languages coming from the teachers because of the mandatory immigration laws we have now.
The working class did not vote for you. They know you are a liar and, as I have been saying, a wolf in sheep’s clothing. So, spare me your speech about the people with the calluses on their hands. You are from some rich Ugandan family. You have dual citizenship. Your mother said there is, proudly, nothing American about you. Your dad thinks we need to make sure that we don’t unfairly castigate suicide bombers. That is who you are. The working class knows you are a phony.
We spent so much time covering the socialism and his radical Islamist ties that we didn’t even really get to the fact that he is budgeting $65 million to trans anyone who wants it from in state or out of state, minor or adult, on the taxpayer dime. He basically wants New York to be a sanctuary for trans children.
The Democrat Party is a nightmare. They are the ones who put New York in this position where they had to choose between a sex pest, Grandma killer and somebody who appears to love radical Islam and wants to communize New York. Those were the choices. Curtis Sliwa never had any chance and, at a minimum, f-cked over New York by staying in the race long after he had any chance.
The vote count is not done, but it is basically going to be about one million votes for Mamdani to one million votes for Andrew Cuomo and Sliwa. It was split. Sliwa got about 7 percent of the overall vote. If he had gotten out and said he would work with Cuomo, it could have gone the other way. But he didn’t.
I understand he had no obligation to get out of the race. He was the Republican on the ticket. But he had no chance and everyone knew that – including Curtis. He didn’t care about effing over his city.
New Jersey
Down in New Jersey, it was a blowout in favor of the Democrats. Mikie Sherrill defeated Republican Jack Ciattarelli by 13 points. Polls had shown the race within the margin of error in the final days, but, once again, the polls were wrong.
Virginia
Virginia was a nightmare, too, with Democrat Abigail Spanberger winning the governor’s race. That was no surprise. Winsome Earle-Sears was losing when she came on The Megyn Kelly Show last month and spewed a bunch of nonsense about her internal polls. She got crushed by about 15 points. It wasn’t even close.
And amazingly, as predicted by MK Media’s own Mark Halperin, Spanberger victory was so large, she easily got that absolute vile Democrat attorney general candidate Jay Jones over the hump. He won. Those texts came out about him wanting to kill Republicans for being Republicans and kill their children so that Republicans would have to suffer – a position on which he doubled and then tripled down on in writing and via a telephone call to somebody who kept hanging up on him and trying to end the conversation – and Virginia voters said, ‘Fine by us.’ He defeated the Republican incumbent, Jason Miyares, by six points.
I’ve lived in Virginia, but I would not stay there if I had children knowing that the top law enforcement official is fine if my kids die because their mother is a Republican. That is how he actually feels. It wasn’t a passing comment or a fly by night thought. He tripled down in writing and by telephone call to a Republican to make sure she understood. And the Virginia voters don’t give a shit. They are represented by those absolute monsters out there celebrating Charlie Kirk’s death – and they are with them.
They may not actually don the “Freedom” t-shirt with the fake blood; they may not be like Lucy Martinez in Chicago actually pointing the gun to her neck in front of the cameras; but they are on the same page. How else would they vote, as their top law enforcement officer, a guy who wants Republicans and their children dead?
Maybe they’ll say he didn’t mean it. Based on what – rhe fact that, when he got caught and it became a national controversy, he came out and said he was sorry? Bull. You pretended to believe the apology because you vote blue and you don’t really care what happens to the other side of the aisle.
Some portion of Virginians did reject him. Spanberger won by 15 at the top of the ticket, and Jay Jones’ margin of victory over Miyares was six points. So, there were some Democrats of principle in Virginia. To you, I tip my hat. Thank you for reminding us there is decency still in America.
And to the rest of you, I don’t understand you, I can’t relate to you, and I have no desire to win you over. You are not winnable. I only have a desire to defeat you. And we have to figure out how to do that.
Republicans, get off your couches and get out there. Work on candidate quality. I’m sorry, but Winsome Earle-Sears was never going to be able to do it. She was very anti-Trump. The Virginia GOP coalition that did get off of its couch in 2024 loves Trump.
Republicans can’t win without big daddy, but guess what? You are going to lose forever then, because he can’t run again.
