Media Lies About Boys Dominating Girls Sports Exposed as Trans Athletes Make Headlines Coast to Coast

Track athletes from coast to coast competed in local and statewide competitions over the weekend, and many of the events made national headlines because of who ended up atop the podium.

In California, Oregon, and Washington state, transgender athletes who were born male beat out their female competition, eliciting strong responses from the crowd, women’s sports advocates, and even the women themselves.

On Tuesday’s show, Megyn ran through the multiple instances and explained why the corporate media is to blame for not telling the truth about the what is happening to women and girls.

California

The California state track championship ended with some very crowded podiums in the high jump, long jump, and triple jump events after a last-minute rule change was enacted in response to President Donald Trump threatening to pull federal funding from the state for allowing boys to compete in girls’ sports.

Last Tuesday, Trump issued a warning to Golden State Gov. Gavin Newsom on Truth Social in the wake of trans athlete AB Hernandez dominating multiple track events. Later that day, the California Interscholastic Federation (CIF) announced a new policy that would allow female athletes who were bumped out of qualifying for states due to Hernandez or any other male athlete to also advance to the finals.

CIF offered additional clarification on Wednesday, stating any female in the state championship who missed out on a medal because of a trans athlete would be bumped up one spot on the podium.

On Saturday, Hernandez took first place in the girls’ triple jump with 42 feet, 2.75 inches. Under the new rule, the actual winner was Kira Gant Hatcher, who jumped 40 feet, 5 inches. So, the two were forced to share the first place spot (above).

In the high jump, there were three athletes crammed at the top – Hernandez and two women. All three jumped 5 feet, 7 inches. The only female athlete to place ahead of Hernandez at the meet was Loren Webster in the long jump. Hernandez ended up sharing the second place podium with Brooke White, who was the actual second-place finisher.

Megyn chided California’s “ridiculous accommodation” in response to Trump’s warning. “The girls have to share it with a fake girl like she belongs there, instead of being there alone as the clear best… amongst women who play this sport,” she said. “This is a bullsh-t accommodation, which Gavin Newsom is all too happy with because somehow he thinks this is the fairness thing he just couldn’t come up with… and an attempt to skirt the big hand of Big Daddy Trump, who is ready to rain hell down on these guys.”

Oregon

In the Beaver State, two high school athletes took a stand and refused to share the podium with a transgender competitor at the state’s track and field championships.

Video obtained by Fox News Digital shows female students Alexa Anderson and Reese Eckard step down from the high jump podium and turn their backs as the winners were being announced. “They hopped down, they turned their backs, and then an official confronted them and gestured for them to move away,” Megyn noted.

Anderson and Eckard finished in third and fourth place respectively, while trans student Lia Rose tied for fifth. Fox News reported Rose had competed in the boys’ track and field divisions as recently as last year. “The trans athlete there had actually come in fifth, but these two girls were sick of it,” Megyn said. “They understood that there should be a rightful girl in the fifth place spot, and they were not having it. They did not forget the girls got screwed over by this boy pretending who they were.”

Washington

But that’s not all. For the second year in a row, trans athlete Verónica Garcia won the girls’ Class 2A 400-meter state title in Washington state. Garcia’s time of 55.70 seconds put him ahead of second-place finisher Lauren Matthew by nearly a full second. That showing would have been the slowest for any boy in any round of competition had he competed against males.

But it is what happened when Garcia was announced as the winner that really caught people’s attention. While the audience loudly cheered for Matthew, boos could be heard throughout the stadium when Garcia stepped up to the first-place podium. “They knew Matthew was the rightful winner,” Megyn said. “But that is amazing in Washington state. This isn’t Texas. This is not Alabama. This is pretty blue, and they’ve had it.”

Media Matters

While the track news dominated headlines, there was another incident in Minnesota involving a trans pitcher on a girls’ softball team who pitched 14 shutout innings to propel his team past the defending state champions in the sectional final on Thursday by a score of 1-0.

All of this to say that – contrary to what the media and Democratic politicians will have you believe – these are not isolated incidents. “I have a packet in front of me in preparation for today. This all happened over the past weekend. We had examples of this in California, in Washington state, in Oregon, in Minnesota. I could go on,” Megyn said. “I mean, it’s happening every week… in practically every city across the country.”

And the onslaught comes amid the new reporting from Alan Abrahamson at 3 Wire Sports about Algerian boxer Imane Khelif, who controversially won gold in the 66-kilogram women’s division at the 2024 summer Olympics in Paris despite being banned from the 2023 World Championships for having XY (read: male) chromosomes.

“This sh-t pisses me off to no end,” Megyn said. “And the news media is part of the problem. I worked at NBC. I was part of the problem while there… back in 2018. However, NBC has learned nothing… from the explosion of this ideology amongst children, and the de-transitioners and their testimonials, and the data we now have on what puberty blockers into cross-sex hormones does to a young girl or boy’s fertility and sexual function. Nothing.”

And NBC News is not alone. “[The media has] paid zero attention,” Megyn concluded. “It is all about how you have to ‘affirm’ or you’re a bigot, and they refuse to use biologically based language and pronouns.”
