I don’t know about you, but I am absolutely flabbergasted by the amount of gaslighting going on over the true sex of the two boxers who are dominating against women at the Olympics.
They are male. Do not let anyone tell you differently. And the International Olympic Committee (IOC) and its media enablers are running cover for that fact out of “inclusion concerns.” Their “inclusion” means men get to punch women in the face for entertainment. That is what is happening in Paris.
The athletes at the center of this are Imane Khelif, 25, of Algeria and Lin Yu-Ting (above), 28, of Taiwan. They have XY chromosomes. They have testes. That is a male. Period. The IOC does not deny it, and I will explain exactly how they are trying to thread the needle.
But what you need to know is this: These are men competing as women. From what we understand, they are not trans. They suffer what is called a Difference of Sexual Development (DSD). And I am going to give you the facts you need to know.
The Controversy
The IOC has been aware of this problem in women’s boxing for years, and it has done nothing because its number one goal is “inclusion.” The organization is woke and it does not care about women’s safety or women’s fairness. It just cares about making the trans and the DSDs feel welcome – the safety of women be damned.
This particular case has escalated the matter because it is happening in a combat sport. Lia Thomas swimming against women was bad enough, but he was in his own lane. Now, we are actually endangering women. This has been banned in other combat sports like rugby and the entity that controls boxing for women, the International Boxing Association (IBA), has also said this is a no-go.
The History
The IBA has disqualified these two athletes before and notified the IOC that they are males. The IOC ignored the warning. Its only response has been to attack the boxing federation and say, hands over the ears, ‘It’s not true. We’re not going to listen. They have female written on their passports.’
In fact, that is exactly what we heard from IOC spokesman Mark Adams, who addressed the controversy in a press conference last Tuesday. “They are women in their passports, and it is stated that that is the case that they are female. They’re competing in the women’s category,” he said. “Again, I don’t want to mention names or whatever. But these athletes have competed many times before for many years.”
So, they are female because he says they are female and they have competed as females for many years. He skipped over the part where they were disqualified from the 2023 Women’s World Boxing Championship for being men. Basically, they got away with it for a number of years, therefore, they are female. That doesn’t hold up.
It got to the point over the weekend where the IBA felt the need to come out publicly and say the IOC is being misleading. The group explained that this controversy started in Turkey in May 2022 when Khelif and Lin were tested during competition. The IBA said the results were inconsistent with femaleness.
The issue arose again at the 2023 championships in New Delhi, India, where there were 324 boxers, including Khelif and Lin, from 64 nations competing in the 10-day event. They were asked to take further blood tests that demonstrated chromosomes that are referred to as “ineligible results.” That was further ratified and they were removed from competition.
IBA chief executive Chris Roberts said a letter was sent to the boxers with the results of the tests and both signed the letter confirming receipt. They were given the opportunity to appeal. Lin chose not to, but Khelif did before later dropping it. As a result, the appeal was never adjudicated.
Now, I ask you: If you were an actual female, why would you drop your appeal? You were about to fight in the gold medal round when they disqualified you for being male, and you drop your appeal? Why?
What Is DSD?
It is not common but it is also not unheard of for people participating in women’s boxing and sports like it to be concealing that they suffer from what are called differences of sexual development or DSD. We used to use the term ‘hermaphrodite,’ then it was changed to ‘intersex,’ and now they go by DSDs.
What it means in this case is: You are a male with XY chromosomes and testes, but you don’t have descended testes and sometimes you don’t have a penis. When you hit puberty, something might start growing. There is no doubt that, in the vast majority of these cases, the guy knows he is a guy – at least by the time he hits puberty.
These two certainly know because they had an XY chromosome test, including a blood test, according to the officials at the 2023 World Championships, that told them they are men. According to the experts, they would not have any female internal organs (no uterus, no ovaries, and no fallopian tubes). There would be no period and no breasts would grow (that is consistent with what our eyes show us when we see these to compete), but they do have male testes that usually are undescended.
When these people are born, they may look female in the genitalia and, therefore, many of them are raised as girls in the beginning by well-meaning families who don’t understand. It then becomes apparent later on as they continue to look more and more like boys, they hit puberty, often the testes do descend, and something approaching a penis could start growing.
All of that deserves empathy, understanding, kindness, and no bullying. I think we are all in agreement there. However, it gets a lot trickier when they enter female sports – especially combat sports – and then remain in them after they know the truth. This is not a question of elevated testosterone. They have perfectly normal testosterone levels for men. They have not done anything to manipulate their testosterone. It is not a matter of doping. It is a matter of biology.
This would be the same thing as an Olympian going and competing in the Paralympics. That is not allowed. They have able bodies, and you can’t compete against people who don’t have those same physical advantages. It would be unfair. We recognize it clearly in that context. We choose not to recognize it here because the IOC is woke.
‘That Is the Admission’
The IBA sent a letter to the IOC on June 5, 2023, informing them of the test results and that male chromosomes had been found. What happened with the IOC? They double down and we get IOC President Thomas Bach trying to gaslight us on Saturday:
BACH: Let’s be very clear here. We are talking about women’s boxing. We have two boxers who are born as woman, who have been raised as woman, who have passport as a woman, and who have competed for many years as a woman. And this is the clear definition of a woman. There was never any doubt about them being a woman… And how can somebody being born, raised, competed, and having a passport as a woman cannot be considered a woman?
Moreover, Bach also said at that press conference, “I repeat, this is not a DSD case. This is about a woman taking part in a woman’s competition, and I think I’ve explained this many times.”
Guess what happened after the presser? The IOC had to issue a paper correction that states Bach misspoke when he said “this is not a DSD case.” What he apparently “intended” to say was, “This is not a transgender case.”
That is the admission that it is a DSD case, which we know because they have XY chromosomes. They are men. It is not about elevated testosterone. It is about them being actual men. There is no way around this.
The Net-Net
I am sorry that these two got all the way to the medal rounds. They are both now guaranteed to medal because they have been beating women over and over. I am sorry that they were allowed to do that and were falsely led to believe it would be okay. It is not okay.
This is a women’s competition and that is how it must remain if we are going to protect the safety of American women and all the other women who go into this already dangerous sport. This is not one of the risks they assume.
Speaking to Reduxx, Marshi Smith, the co-founder of the Independent Council on Women’s Sports, condemned the IOC. “The cover-up and championing of male athletes in women’s Olympic sports is the greatest sports scandal of our lifetime,” Smith said. “A full and thorough investigation is urgently required, and heads must roll within the IOC to account for this unthinkable injustice against women.”
I couldn’t have said it better myself.
